Canadian New Media Awards Announces 2009 Finalists
November 9, 2009 (Toronto, ON) – The Canadian New Media Awards (CNMAs), the country’s only nationwide competition celebrating the accomplishments of Canada’s most successful digital media companies, announced this year’s nominees in several prestigious award categories. Polar Mobile received nomination for Promising New Company of the Year, with current customer Canwest Broadcasting gaining a nod in the Best Mobile App category for Food Network Canada.
The Promising New Company category is described by the CNMAs as organizations with a vision, a two-year game plan, a team of enthusiastic stars, and a regulation-size pool table. Polar Mobile is recognized among several other innovative digital media companies.
“As Canada’s only nationwide new media competition of its kind, we’re proud of the achievements that this country’s innovators have to offer,” says Mark Greenspan, Executive Producer of nextMEDIA. “This year, we’re pleased to showcase some of the best work from many cutting-edge companies.”
