Today’s magazine and internet publishing conference was geared towards professional development through hands-on, how-to sessions from leaders in the media industry.

In the digital economy, it is essential for consumers to find rich content at every touch point they seek out. While sharing strategies in making mobile media applications more easily discovered in marketing channels like website and the major smart phone application stores, Gupta also pointed out the need to engage consumers with exceptional mobile experiences. The editorial search for engaging content is a critical first step, but the ability to anchor a brand and rich content to a reader’s mobile device provides an opportunity to monetize this content, and often offer net new revenue on existing content.
