September 7, 2011 (Toronto, ON) – Polar Mobile (www.polarmobile.com), a leading mobile Platform provider to hundreds of top-tier media companies globally, today announced the addition of Andrew Shannon as Chief Financial Officer and Regan Fletcher as Vice President, Sales & Business Development, to the management team. US-based Fletcher will open Polar Mobile’s San Francisco office as well.

As CFO, Andrew Shannon will provide financial and operational leadership and oversee finance, accounting, legal, investor relations, and operations for Polar. Shannon brings more than 17 years of experience working with high growth software and IT-based companies. Most recently, Shannon was CFO and COO at Dyadem International, which was acquired by IHS Inc. (NYSE:IHS) in April 2011. He has also held the positions of Controller and then acting CFO at EDS Canada and VP Finance at SOLCORP. Shannon is a Chartered Accountant, starting his career at Ernst & Young and has expertise in designing, building and managing financial operations, mergers and acquisitions, board management and capital fund raising.
As Vice President Sales & Business Development, Regan Fletcher will be responsible for all revenue operations at Polar, including sales, business development and partnerships. Fletcher has held sales & business development leadership roles at Bitpipe and KnowledgeStorm (both acquired by TechTarget), Right Media (acquired by Yahoo!) and Yoono. Most recently, Fletcher was in business development at Intel responsible for key strategic relationships with major US-based media companies. He has a degree in Economics from Princeton and is based in San Francisco, where he is opening an office for Polar Mobile.
