Job Function
To develop mobile Apps on Polar’s SMART™ Platform to extend functionality for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Windows Phone devices.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Create stunning applications for customers using the Polar Mobile platform
- Continue to evolve the platform to take advantage of the latest technologies
- Learn other major smartphone platforms (iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone)
Qualifications
Critical Skills:
- Must have experience performance tuning mobile applications
- Development experience on one of the following platforms:
iPhone:
- Expert C/C++ or Objective-C developer
- In-depth knowledge of the iPhone SDK and sqlite database
BlackBerry:
- Expert Java developer
- In-depth knowledge of the BlackBerry APIs development tools
Android:
- Expert Java developer
- In-depth knowledge of the Android APIs and development tools
Windows Phone:
- Expert C# developer
- In-depth knowledge of .NET libraries
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to take a project from concept to implementation
- Effectively manage several projects at a time
- Take both initiative and direction
- Attention to detail and passion for product quality
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Level of Experience:
- 1+ year of mobile client development experience in at least one of BlackBerry, iPhone, Android and Windows Phone
- Bachelorʼs degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
